Fewer than originally expected. Apple cut the initial production order[1]. Also, “selling out” is a hype generator now.

Probably not for the most part. You need to get a face scan for the customized foam insert, so buying one secondhand might be a pain.
There’s a reason it’s called bleeding edge. Prefer someone else feel those pains.
