What exactly do you think people with long-term care should be doing? Telling insurance companies to fuck off and finding a hospital that will treat them with a price they can afford? Hope they’re rich. Or should they just die?

I have two chronic illnesses, one of which will almost certainly never be cured. Was I supposed to just ignore that because America has a fucked-up capitalist healthcare system? Because I’m not rich, so my only other two options as far as I could see would be voting or (in my case) living with even more intense pain than I am already in every waking moment of my life.

It’s very easy to say “we let them do this to us” when you’re not the one constantly needing medical care.
