Not only are all three of these men as white as a block of Monterey Jack
(a) I don’t really care about their race.
(b) The author of this article is also white. I don’t see why he thinks that it’s objectionable for the guys at the Washington Post to be white and in media…but okay for him to be white and in media.
He is white, but he is not being brought in to replace a minority who was fired. He’s not attacking these people for being white. He’s attacking the abrupt removal of a minority viewpoint only to have the white guy boss choose two white dudes to replace her.

the most objectionable thing about that sentence is very clearly that monterey jack isn’t white
