        Exactly. I’m glad you can agree on this point with a very obviously not sarcastic comment, as Mussolini wasn’t in fact, a Nazi, but just allied with the Nazis, had a very similar idiology that the Nazis took ideas from, and was also a fascist dictator.

        I mean, America probably would have ended up allying with the Nazis if it wasn’t for the attack on Pearl Harbor. There was a lot of public sympathy for them here, including protests against joining the allies, and we even had a Nazi party before the war. We also turned away Jewish refugees during the war.

            As fucked as it was and they just said, “no home for you now on your way out.” They did do better than our first Cherokee concentration camp prisoners… which is where Hitler got the idea (our was it Goebbels?)
