    Geeez these comments guys…

So even if you like or dislike pewdiepie. I think him showing of Linux is good. Getting more people to realize Linux exist and is a viable alternative to Windows or Mac is a good thing.

Does Hyprland work well for gaming compared to KDE? Can it do HDR, VRR and so on?

Always wanted to try a tiling WM but was afraid of losing features.

Awesome! I hope he will help share this with more folks, the friends who I’ve talked into finally giving modern non-Ubuntu Linux a shot love it, but there’s a lot of work to get over the damaged image created by the countless “linux user installing a browser” memes. I’m sure someone with his reach can help though :)

He’s an attention-seeking edgelord and a buffoon, but I highly doubt the Nazi allegations. This comes from someone who genuinely believes in the right to punch Nazis. We need to be careful about throwing the Nazi-card in all directions, or the real ones will slip through the cracks (some have already managed to skip into positions of power while us plebs are squabbling). He did a couple of insanely stupid things that he should have grown out of by age 15, hopefully he learned from that.

Well, I see the problem now. Punching people doesn’t solve Nazism.

If you were advocating for reeducating them, revoking their right to vote, or even putting them in prison, fine. But punching people is just some weird power fantasy, “I’m better than you because I beat you up.”

The fact you think beating people up just to feel dominant or whatever is good politics shows you have a lot in common with Pewds… and, well, Nazis.

I’m out of the loop on this one? A Swedish using a Polish WM, and you call them Nazis?

I know that the hyprland dev has strong political opinions, but I genuinely dont know what they are because I don’t care, and I use another WM. Are they really both Nazis? I dont know because I dont follow these guys. I dont want this word to be misused when actual Nazis are trying to take over the free world again

Vaxry was acting Polish in front of Drew DeVault and was immediately labeled nazi apologist.

        The discussion went like this:

        — is there anything that could sway your opinion towards genocide?

        — well, claiming “no” would be presumptuous, I am just a human, so, probably yes?

        — I rest my case

Honestly I started looking into it (found some articles from 2017 where he showed Nazi imagery) and started asking myself wtf am I doing.

Calling people Nazis over the tamest crap is so old. I’m so done with the liberal crowd on Lemmy jerking each other off over simplistic issues. Get a grip.

He said a no no word in a fit of rage in a livestream over half a decade ago. Ever since then he’s spent time being a better person. But internet neckbeards never forgive.
