Does the Active feed work this way?
I remember you! I see posts all the time and notice “Ah, it’s that Sag fellow again”
I think still yes, when a problem is abundantly clear, but borderline cases can more easily be left to individual preference.
I’ve noticed that too. I thought it was a different technology community popping up for a while.
Yeah, looks like the default “word_wordnumbers” usernames that reddit gives you if don’t change them.
I wonder if that would be an easy way to detect botting by not filling in that field for them.
Now I’m imagining someone legitimately putting their Jan6 involvement on a resume.
Window Structural Integrity Tester (Jan 6th, 2021): Responsibilities included - unconventional team-building activities, conditioning, navigating unfamiliar territory, and breaking down barriers.
That would be helpful. I have a Mastodon account that I’m pretty much just using to post my OC trek memes (plus some of my favorites from Risa), and being able to crosspost both ways would be nice.
Oh I see! That would be awesome.
I don’t really know how to navigate GitHub to see more detail, but how would this improve the cross-posting function that already exists?
I’ve used it a handful of times and it seems pretty straightforward.
That’s awesome. I think there are so many out there who would be receptive to decentralized social media if they heard about it.
For whatever anecdotal observations are worth, I’ve recently been seeing a huge uptick in activity from the userbase that is here. Maybe it’s been driven by posts like this one or memes about growing Lemmy, but people seem to be posting and commenting more than usual.
This makes so much more sense. Still wouldn’t want it, but I get it.
It depends on who’s sitting in the upper seats.
Who keeps abducting you?!
Carry on, Ensign.
I tried Kbin, but I don’t know why it just never clicked with me. I kind of like the barebones lemmy UI.
Also, the instance I’m on has an “old.reddit” style page that is really nice when I’m on PC.
Someone somewhere just pulled out some graph paper and is sketching a concept.
You don’t want to blindly stick your feet into that dark underseat compartment.
I’ve noticed that some people do use other filters than “Hot” or they scroll back in smaller communities, because I’ll occasionally get comment replies to posts I made months ago. It’s cool to see.
