Thanks for the insight in your profession. Yes, all what you said makes total sense. still, you don’t want to have a standart work glove when dealing with moving blades, in germany that’s also forbidden by security laws, out of the rasons I mentioned, maimed hands and so on. I must have met at least 8 - 10 people. but, yea, its a hand surgery facility.
dont ever wear gloves when working with rotating or moving saws. the gloves will force your hand into the saw.
i am a regular guest on a clinic ward that specializes in hand surgery. people with severed fingers or half of a hand missing always tell me the same story: the glove forced my hand into the sawblade.
child labour
are you still at it? unbelievable.
I only have common sense. of course the whole thing is less water intensive then having to nurture an animal for 2 years and then kill it. but you can’t compare industrial waste water and water usage on a farm.
well, renewable energy… you could say the same for a farm. just put solar on the roof, like they do anyway. yes, you need less diesel for a factory product. but you still need an agricultural product, you don’t grow the stuff out of thin air. so diesel will be the same.
then you will need lots more of energy. you need technology. you need chemicals. and so on. you need specialist, chemists, industrial mechanics. all that costs a whole lot of ressources, and ratches up co2 footprint as well.
its like the idea of insect protein.
i dont think this will realize into reality at all, in a meaningfull scale, i mean. the whole thing is just a technical nightmare.
its like urban farms with indoor lights and hydroponics. its just not efficient.
there are like 100dreds of different ones ;-)
usually, you have to cook them this long because the outer shell has some form of toxin against plant eating animals.
yeah, you need less land for that, but a factory, huge vats, a laboratory for quality control, plumbing, huge amounts of water. it will be a bit similiar to a large brewery, but way more complicated, since you are not dealing with liquids that you can pump around when its done.
those who own these factories will not be farmers.
wait till your hear how much water is needed for those vats for lab meat…
europe has more complicated laws about privacy and data mining
i believe thats a given…
there are species of lentils you have to soak in water for days, and then cook really long, i didnt made that up.
it will never be cheaper than slaughtered meat.
and this is the reason: the whole angle is you eat it because you like animals, your health, and nature. so it will never be cheaper than actual meat.
not because thats impossible; but because someone wants to make money.
if ot would be cheaper, than price would be the main argument; but it isnt.
the main argument is health and nature and climate change.
krasse sache
i watched some documatnary about hackers, and usually, they catch them because they talk way to mouch about themselves.
its way more likely that your mom searched for cancer related information on google. and you are connected to your mom, so you get ads as well.
One time, i was in hospital, surgery was postponed, and i couldnt eat for two days. they put 4.5 liters of nacl in me, i counted. 40 grams of salt.
I HAd A HEART AttACK ON THE THIRD DAY
wait, i made that up. nothing happened at all. i just peed a lot, and watched a lot of mukbang videos.
has the nice sideeffect that it weighs more.
I assure you one thing: If it happened to you and you survived, you will not wish this on your worst enemy.
i have a hard time explaining this to people, they simply don’t get it-.
