Someone is totally going to turn this into a reprap 3D printer, and I’m absolutely here for it. I can’t wait to toss on a 1mm nozzle and start printing some massive 3D printed bog planters for my savage garden hahaha.

I haven’t done much with Excel and Word these days, but I have not had a single issue opening standard documents. The PDF import capabilities for LibreDraw work reasonably well. Many MANY years ago I fiddled with OpenOffice and then LibreOffice before moving to Office365 for a while.
Now I’m back to LibreOffice for the past 5+ years and haven’t had any complaints
My dyslexic self read that at first glance as “Face Melting Fleshlight” and I had SO many questions
Just last month I came across a cd I burned with Mandrake Linux that I had downloaded - 26 years ago!
I should try and install that on a virtual PC and see how it feels/looks hahaha
Cool thanks for that, I’ve honestly never fiddled with Open SUSE, I gravitated to Linux Mint a while back and like that it’s still under constant development.
Yeah no doubt, a RAID would be more effective. But still a 256TB SSD is absolutely insane when you think about it, compared to where technology was 10 or 20 years ago.
Crazy to think it was only about fifteen years ago the small Data-storage server reseller I worked for was selling their own in-house server racks - a whole 52U rack filled with Supermicro drive bays to store a petabyte of data was $300k and that was a steal of a deal at the time.
Sure, that system was redundant and this is a single pbSSD, but still crazy to see how fast things are evolving
Hot dang, I never heard of that mod, I’ll have to check it out! lol
Quake itself was ok. The multiplayer version was fun. But the real fun started when people began modding the game. The original Team Fortress was actually a free mod for Quake which I’m pretty sure quickly became the most popular instance of the game for online play.
Funny random tidbit, I actually remember playing the game with one dude who specifically had to brag about having a high powered 1ghz processor as his username in the game (something like 1gigahertz or something cheesy like that). Pretty sure back then I was still rocking a 700mhz AMD Athlon Thunderbird processor.
How are you seeing gifs in kbin? All I’m seeing is a url link to the gif and have to click the media icon button next to the URL For it to load… is there a setting I need to enable to load pictures/gifs automatically?
Hopefully the factory can find a good workaround for future revisions of the design. But gotta hand it to Prusa - they quickly respond when something needs be adjusted in the build. I remember the minor upgrades from the MK3s to the MK3s+ which seemed minor to some, but were huge for others (for me I see barely any difference in my farm, but hey I’m glad they made those changes if it increases the lifespan of the rails/bearings, etc).
Dude, satin build plate for the win, it’s amazing
Crazy how people are still finding new things to cram doom into. I remember when that was a popular thing to do twenty years ago haha
But I’ll admit, stuffing it into a keycap is pretty damn impressive, albeit useless haha
Good to hear some people are happy with their MK4.
I’ve been seeing so many complaints in the Prusa facebook groups from early adopters.
Personally I’m keeping my printer farm running MK3S printers for now, I’m gonna let everyone continue beta-testing the MK4 for another year or two before I splurge on a few factory assembled machines for the farm.
Even a simple kbin link would work.
For example since this community is “fediverse” on the lemmy.world instance my link would be
Loving the tool - but when i try to login and put in the instance of kbin.social it gives me an error
Hahaha, true, you could fit maybe a few jpg photos on a floppy

Dang, that stinks - I actually enjoy the steering mechanics in this game. It’s the only mobile game I have played in many many years because it’s easy to play a race or two and put the game away.
