Compared to drive with the train on rail without unloading/stopping? Mode change is expensive. So ideally once Iran is liberated the train would just drive from Central Asia to Turkey through Iran without stopping.
The Trans Iranian Railways are already built, but not in use to transport goods from central asia to turkey as far as I understand.
Yeah conflicting ideologies may lead to a splinter-net… but this also can be just a matter of an instance users taste. This is part of the federated nature of lemmy that allows this to happen.
I noticed Alt-Text is far less popular on lemmy than on mastodon.social, not a fan, but maybe it has to do something with the User-Interface, and how obvious alt-text is made.

yeah but to avoid Russia & Iran you need to cross the Caspian sea by boat, which is not optimal for costs and profit-margins I assume. Train needs to be unloaded, containers wait in port (Turkmenistan or Kazakhstan I assume) until ship is loaded …

How can a president in a democratic country order a dam opening, and this is left unchallenged by knowledgeable experts affected by the dam and stake holders? There seems a deep flaw in the system when it comes to the singular power of the US-president?
Trump started it, now is not the time to think how this is bad. You need to choose a side and act accordingly with countermeasures, which will likely escalate further.

From my view males are to an extent biologically programmed to be right leaning and more violent, always have been. This is why they die in wars and crimes in male on male violence often and stand on top of hierarchies of physical power on average. This risk taking behavior might have positive side effects in case of victory as well. And lets not forget youtube was founded by a pure male team.
