? rivals works fine on my machine on Nobara. it has a Linux compatible anti-cheat.
i have faith this will be resolved eventually/they will have to admit kernel anticheat isn’t even meaningfully more effective and give up on it. anyway loads of people don’t play multiplayer AAA so it’s a no brainer already for them. as the mass of people migrating continues to grow devs/publishers hopefully will have to catch up. 2% of the steam hardware survey is linux now, it could be 5% within the decade. that’s my optimistic outlook, i know i shouldn’t underestimate how out of touch the epic games suits etc. are though
i got around this by opening cmd (Shift + F10) during the setup and disabling the network adapter.
wmic nic get name, index
wmic path win32_networkadapter where index = 2 call disable
index will be 1 or 2 probably depending on your setup it was 2 for me. this worked for me recently on boxes on fedora with a win10 iso.
idk if you’re having the same issue but unborking my $PS1 fixed this for me. left right arrow keys should let you edit the command.
yeah I think you’re supposed to be able to but it seems borked for me too. my terminal kinda freaks out when I try to move the cursor to the right to edit the command.
edit the borking was for sure because i had a broken custom $PS1. i reset it to something normal and i’m able to edit the commands pulled up with Ctrl + R just fine now by hitting the right arrow key.
not sure if it’s what you’re looking for but on my Konsole (I think it’s actually just a bash feature), Ctrl+R lets you search through your command history and easily pull up past commands. it’s called reverse-i-search
if you wanna check it out.
i found endeavor to be nicer than Manjaro but tbh I’m at the stage where i just recommend installing arch. it’s gotten a lot easier. endeavor is also arch based though so I’d go with that if you want super easy install / extra stuff installed ootb
its ok to vilify straightness hope this helps. you are not oppressed in any way for being straight lmao. this is the “complaining about anti-white racism” of misunderstanding sexuality power dynamics. queer people are telling you to shut up and you’re doubling down on your chauvinism, consider you suck!
you know “straight pride” is in the same category of thing as “male pride” and “white pride”, right? it’s a homophobic thing to invoke. nobody cares that you’re part of the hegemonic sexuality group, it’s not something to be proud of.
I don’t see why I can’t also be proudly straight.
they are one of the few western euro countries actually doing some work to keep their options open wrt working with China too
endeavor keeps pushing updates with cringe AI desktop backgrounds and its making me want to install vanilla arch
vassal bloc acts against its own interest to please the empire
interestingly Germany voted against the tariffs. Scholz said he was pressured by the auto unions to do so.
KDE Plasma on my PC, just use i3 on my laptop. prefer using the mouse on a pc, prefer not using it on a laptop.
seconding Fedora, i used to use archbased only but recently switched from win10 on my main machine and wanted a handy out of the box gamer distro with stability, been using Nobara which is really nice. of course you can get vanilla fedora configured just fine for gaming, etc. my draw was just the convenience factor. there is also Bazzite another “gamer” distro based on fedora atomic so even more stable.
who made you the fun police
