Linux has been becoming more and more beginner friendly for a few years now, almost everyone gets frustrated by Windows.
The only reason Windows is big is because it’s the only computer OS where you can do gaming, other than that it sucks as much as the next OS.

Hopefully EU legislation should bring that back in the coming years, I believe they’re working on such law at the moment
To be fair the vast majority of people don’t do that and just buy a new phone after a few years when theirs is becoming too old, has issues or lacks useful features

Really curious why they don’t put people who have been in charge of AWS for example, that would be a much better track record already.

Their new pricing is not horrible, but it’s pretty wonky at best
After the first wave of outrage they had to clarify that it wouldn’t take reinstalls into account, which should have been clear from the beginning
Also the fact that they take money on a game install wether or not that install generated any money is just dumb, most people would rather pay more as long as they have the guarantee that they only pay AFTER having made some profits
Even with the qualifiers, it makes it super hard to make any financial projections as your profits are totally uncorrelated to the fees you’ll have to pay

Oh your brain processes those sounds for sure, but it mostly filters them out so, unless there is an unexpected sound, you don’t pay attention to them
Depends, looks like small planes, and even if 10 come and go everyday you would quickly stop hearing them at all (the brain is very good at ignoring useless stimuli)

Pretty sure they are turning around as a similar bill is in preparation in Europe that they won’t be able to stop it so they want to get ahead of the curve and come out as supporters.
I’m not quite sure which case, I think it was about activists (not sure tho), but these fact were indeed used as an argument to support the idea that they were terrorists, because they’re trying to hide something
Not really, as it forces them to have the processes working, which is half of the battle
I mean you can export and delete your Facebook or Google data outside of Europe, so GDPR is a win
